Over a hundred guests joined us last Sunday, 27 October 2019 for MCAD Open House. The event, motivated by its mandate for inclusion, featured a day of art, engaging activities and giveaways to suit audiences across a wide range of demographics.
MCAD’s Learning and Public Program aims to provide entry points and opportunities to be familiar with, study and interact with contemporary culture.
Featured on the day were guided tours, a performance of Respire Respire by Mel O’Callaghan, themed challenges and memory games, merchandise giveaways, coloring activities for kids, face and body painting and a scavenger hunt inspired by the works of Mel O’Callaghan (Australia), Laurent Grasso (France), Suzanne Treister (United Kingdom), and Pamela Rosenkranz (Switzerland) which are all featured in the current exhibition What Lies Within: Centre of the Centre.
Congratulations to the five winners of the Scavenger Hunt. Each will receive a set of limited edition MCAD exhibition catalogues: The Spectre of Comparison, produced for the Philippine Pavilion at the 57th Venice Art Biennale with works by Lani Maestro and Manuel Ocampo and Locomotion featuring artist Michael Lin (Taiwan).
