Fahim Amir works at the intersections of nature, cultures and colonial historicities, transcultural agency and urbanism.

Public Lecture: Pigeons and Pigs: The End of Animals (as we knew them)
In his lecture, Amir argues for a new perspective on animals and animality. While traditional critical approaches focus either on moral questions of vulnerability (“can they suffer?”) and consequently, the victimizing aspects of domination, Amir’s arts-based take on animals is inspired by unruly animals in processes of modernization and political possibilities of more-than-human solidarity. This approach sheds not only new light on the zoopolitical continuity of living labor and the birth of the factory, but also opens up the thinking of collectivity and politics.
