Pablo Leon de la Barra (born 1972, Mexico City)  received his PhD in histories and theories from the Architectural Association, London. An independent curator based in London and New York, he has curated and co-curated exhibitions in institutions such as Casa Luis Barragan, Museo Tamayo, apexart, Art in General, The Architecture Foundation;  lectured and participated in international symposiums such as Serpentine Gallery Marathon, Cisneros Seminar, Rethinking Latin American Art Symposium; and written for numerous publications. In 2012, he received the first Patricia Phelps de Cisneros Travel Award for Central America and the Caribbean. He is currently in a two-year residency at the Guggenheim Museum after being selected the second curator for the Guggenheim UBS Map Global Art Initiative in 2013. He organized Under the Same Sun: Art from Latin America Today.
