For over 10 years, MCAD has collaborated with museums, galleries, institutions and visual arts organizations from around the globe to offer an experience of and exposure to contemporary art.
As Operations Assistant your role is to provide administrative support to all areas of museum operations, taking part in the planning, development and delivery of all MCAD projects. Working closely with the Exhibitions, Public Programs and Marketing Teams and the Museum’s Deputy Director.
Taking charge of the museum’s day-to-day operations, you will work closely with staff and Departments across De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, managing all data systems, budgets, travel, purchasing, security, maintenance and merchandising. With this, you will facilitate interdepartmental office processes in collaboration with MCAD staff.
The Operations Assistant is MCAD’s key liaison representative and first point of call for queries. Your skills will be key in rendering assistance to supporting the museums new developmental areas such as event management for public programs and special projects such as publications and residencies.
Do you have what it takes?
The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 3 years working experience in administrative work or a college degree in a related field, preferably Arts Management, although these points are negotiable. You must have strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently under time pressure. As the museum operates on sophisticated information systems, you must have excellent computer skills with knowledge on a wide selection of office computer software. Finally, you must have an outstanding attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
This is a full-time position with regular employee benefits. Salary will be discussed upon interview shortlist. The role will begin in February 2020.
