MCAD Film Screenings: December 2018

Can you believe it’s almost the end of the year? With Christmas right around the corner we can’t help but feel excited. To get everyone in a festive spirit, we’ve chosen 3 Christmas films to screen on December.

Arthur Christmas 2011 | British-American | PG | 1hr 37min
Every year, Santa and his army of highly trained elves produce and deliver gifts around the world on Christmas. But when one in 600 million children to receive a gift from Santa is missed, Arthur, Santa’s misfit son believes it threatens to end the magic of Christmas. Arthur sets out in an unauthorized mission to deliver the last present halfway around the world.

Elf 2003 | American | PG | 1hr 37min
When young Buddy accidentally falls into Santa’s gift sack on Christmas Eve, he’s transported back to the North Pole and raised as a toy-making elf by Santa’s helpers. But as he grows into adulthood, he goes looking for his true place in the world — in New York city. Buddy finds his workaholic father –who’s on Santa’s “naughty” list, a new mother and a 10-year-old brother who doesn’t believe in Santa Claus or elves. Here, now, Buddy discovers his destiny–to save Christmas for New York and the world!

How The Grinch Stole Christmas 2000 | American | PG | 1hr 44min
In the magical land of Whoville, which exists inside a snowflake, everyone loves Christmas. Just outside of their beloved Whoville lives the Grinch. A nasty creature that hates Christmas, the Grinch plans to steal Christmas away from the Whos. However, his plans are hindered when he meets the cheery Cindy Lou Who.

As always, the screenings are FREE and open to the public. Since the museum is closed, we will be holding our December screenings at The Loop (12F) at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde’s SDA Building. We hope to see you!
