In line with its ongoing exhibition on performance art, Re-enactments, MCAD presented Erick Beltrán’s Synesthetic Banquet, a special private lecture that combines a visual presentation with dishes especially-designed to extend the reach of a stimulated discourse.

The Synesthetic Banquet has been presented in several venues, including Kadist in Paris and San Francisco, and as part of 2014 Berlin Biennale. Each iteration of the project revolves around a different topic and menu; for its 7th presentation, Beltrán’s lecture revolved around historical links during the Baroque period, the same era reflected in the artist’s work for Re-enactments.
