Take the lead and support the development of the museum’s next exhibition.
A Chance to Join the Team
For over 10 years, MCAD has collaborated with museums, galleries, institutions and visual arts organizations from around the globe to offer an experience of and exposure to contemporary art.
Our upcoming exhibition in February 2020 is your chance to join the MCAD team. As project manager, you will work closely with the curatorial team to oversee the exhibition installation from planning to execution. As such, you will need to create and implement project timelines for all activities and oversee the preparations required for the completion of the project. You will also need to monitor the deliverables in terms of their timeliness, quality, and update supervisors on their status on a regular basis.
Working on multiple, international artworks, your responsibilities will include: research for materials and suppliers, working with vendors for installation; media manipulation and development (depending on the production requirements); assisting in art handling (i.e. packing, unpacking and installation) condition reporting, as well as liaising with artists, co-curators and the head of exhibitions. You will also be required to produce reports and other forms of documentation.
Do you have what it takes?
To qualify for the position, ideally, you must have experience in project management. You must have a strong focus on logistics and scheduling, as well as the ability to manage a budget and resources. As the upcoming exhibition will primarily showcase video and media artworks, technical knowledge of multimedia equipment is a must. Finally, you must have a flair for communication as you will need to liaise with various stakeholders involved in the exhibition.
This position is offered on a fixed-term contract of 2 months from December 9, 2019 – February 7, 2019. Salary will be discussed upon interview shortlist.
If you think you have what it takes, send a letter of interest and CV to mcad@benilde.edu.ph on or before November 15, 2019.
